**ROLE**
**Level: Senior Consultant**
As a Cloud Migration SME, you will play a pivotal role in leading technical teams to deliver cutting-edge cloud solutions on Azure platforms for our Fortune 1000 clients. Your expertise will be crucial in driving the migration and modernization of applications to the Azure cloud, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance. You will have the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of projects, from building new cloud solutions to deploying global applications across multiple countries, and providing design guidance for continuous optimization.
**The work you will include:**
* **Design and Architecture:** Assist in developing and implementing Azure infrastructure solutions that are scalable, secure, and cost-effective. Collaborate with architects to design hybrid and cloud-native solutions tailored for Azure environments.
* **Scoping and Requirements Gathering:** Participate in and drive scoping and technical requirements gathering sessions for customer cloud programs, ensuring a clear understanding of client needs and objectives.
* Utilize Azure services such as Azure Landing Zones, Azure Migration Service, Azure Active Directory (AAD), Virtual Machines (VMs), Azure Blob Storage, Virtual Networks, Azure SQL Database, Azure Database Migration Service (DMS), Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Azure Container Instances (ACI) to build and manage infrastructure.
* Develop and maintain Terraform modules and Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates for infrastructure provisioning and management. Ensure consistent and repeatable deployment processes through IaC.
* Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions. Automate deployment processes to streamline infrastructure updates and ensure high availability.
* **Knowledge and Experience:** Demonstrate significant knowledge and experience across cloud technology facets, including Cloud Infrastructure, Application Modernization & Development, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, Containers, and Modern Data Services. Understand the Governance, Security, Monitoring, and Cost Management aspects of the Azure ecosystem.
* **Client Relationship Building:** Build and maintain meaningful relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction and success.
* **Collaboration and Teamwork:** Work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, based on project requirements. Contribute to leading initiatives for the development and maintenance of tools, methods, and offerings in your area of specialization.
* **Efficiency and Productivity:** Identify and build productivity and efficiency drivers that influence sales pitches and become key criteria for winning new projects in your specialty area.
**Qualifications:**
**Skills / Project Experience:**
**Must Have:**
* 6-9 years of industry experience, with at least 4+ years of a working experience in designing and migrating solutions from on-premises to Azure using the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework.
* At least 3+ years of hands-on experience in hands-on experience with Azure infrastructure services including experience in application migration and modernization of legacy applications to Azure cloud platforms (IaaS and PaaS)
* Familiarity with the principles summarized in the Azure Cloud Adoption and Well-Architected Frameworks.
* CI/CD Knowledge: Proficiency in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
* IaC Proficiency: Experience in developing and managing Terraform modules and Azure Resource Manager (ARM) template.
* Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting skills and communication.
* Deep technical background, and strong experience in leading and managing teams within specialist areas from project planning to execution.
**Good to Have:**
* Knowledge of Generative AI Architecture Patterns and experience with building cloud-native AI applications.
* Full-stack prior experience, including web (Java/.Net/Angular), FE, API, Data Design, and Cloud hosting.
* Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, AKS, OpenShift, or ARO container platforms.
* Deep expertise in architecting and designing end-to-end Azure solutions, recommending best cloud architecture patterns (e.g., API Management, Azure Event Grid, Service Bus, Storage queues, Azure App Service Web Apps, Functions, Azure storage).
* Knowledge and experience in cloud networking, understanding of data services, including Cosmos DB, Azure SQL Database, Data Lake, Databricks, Data Factory, Synapse, and when to use each.
* Working knowledge of supporting IaaS migration & implementation via Azure Virtual Desktop, Citrix, and VMware.
* Ability to independently provide proof of concepts, analysis of alternatives, and brief results to client stakeholders.
* Understanding of microservices architecture, design, and implementation, leveraging PaaS and IaaS solutions on cloud
* Candidates with cloud solution architect certifications (AZ204, 305, 900) will be preferred.
**Education:**
* B.E./B. Tech/M.C.A./M.Sc (CS) degree or equivalent from an accredited university.
**Prior Experience:**
* 6-9 years of experience working with cloud infrastructure platforms (Azure preferred)
